MAILING LISTS- Are there any restrictions on mailing lists?
- What does a valid mailing list mean?
- How do I create a mailing list?
Q: Are there any restrictions on mailing lists?A:
We DO NOT limit the number of e-mails sent through mailling lists unless you overuse our system
resources as, being shared hosting providers, we can't allow server
overusage by one customer. All our clients are allowed to create valid mailing lists only.
Q: What does a valid mailing list mean?A:
A valid mailing list means:
- Your subscribers should EXPLICITLY agree to receive e-mails from you. Multiple complaints about spam coming from an e-maill address that is set up on our servers may lead to this account suspension for safety reasons
- Less than 20% of e-mails should bounce back. If they still bounce, it means that more than 20% of mail list addresses are not valid or up-to-date. Additionally, messages sent to non-existing e-mail addresses cause queues which prevent our servers from running properly
- No one is allowed to vilolate our terms and conditions of use. For more info see: http://www.alterhosting.com/about/terms/
Q: How do I create a mailing list?A:
You'll be able to create mailing lists from our user frienly web-based Control panel Plesk.
- Log in to your Control panel
- From the client administration page click your domain name
- Choose 'Mailing lists' option
- Click the 'Add' button
- As soon as you create a mailing list click 'MailList' icon to
access MailList Administration Page
